"Rock is so much fun. That's what it's all about..." - Jimi Hendrix

The Waldwick School of Rock has a curriculum that fosters learning through music and social interaction. We offer programs for many instruments including guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and vocals. Once enrolled, each week our students receive a 45 minute private lesson with the instrument of their choice. We encourage students to learn multiple instruments, as it will help to enhance their craft.

In our Performance Program, students will participate in a weekly 3-hour supervised show rehearsal. During the rehearsal, several students get together with an instructor to learn and perform songs by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Pink Floyd, Paramore, Foo Fighters, Queen, The Beatles, and many more. We have found that the combination of private lessons and group band practice with their peers is the best way to motivate kids to practice hard, overcome stage fright, and become amazing musicians.

Of course, all of that work won’t go unnoticed. At the end of the semester, students will play a real rock show, at a real rock venue! Each year our students play over 500 concerts to more than 100,000 people at such legendary venues as CBGB’s, The Trocadero, Café DuNord, The Knitting Factory, Cervantes Ballroom, and BB Kings in Times Square! We are always looking for grander stages for our students to play on. To date our students have played at Lollapalooza and other festivals from California to Germany, opening for national acts coast to coast, and performed live on television and radio countless times.

It’s an experience unlike any other!
